Call the babysitter and mark your calendar—the 7th Annual DeLand Craft Beer Festival is right around the corner! This highly anticipated event is one of the best ways to enjoy time with friends while sampling some of the best local breweries our area has to offer.

In today’s blog, we will be taking a look at just what to expect from this favorite local festival.

Craft beers galore…

The DeLand Craft Beer Festival is so popular because it offers a little something for every type of taste. With 100 breweries and more than 350 different beers to try—including rare, vintage and cask beers—and unlimited samples available with your ticket, you are sure to have a great time. You might even find your new favorite drink!

The festival, which takes place February 6^th from 1 to 5 p.m., will also feature a brewing demonstration by the Sanford Homebrew Shop—so you don’t want to miss out!

Tickets—which cover admission to the festival, unlimited samples and more—are just $35 in advance and $40 at the festival gate. This rain-or-shine event requires entrants to bring and present their photo ID on the day of.

For those who can’t get enough of the fun atmosphere provided by the Craft Beer Festival, there’s good news—the festivities last all week long!

The festival itself is the culmination of a week’s worth of fun activities for beer lovers, known as Volusia Beer Week. The week includes the Craft Beer Festival we talked about above, the #DrinkVolusia Bus Tour, and Brews and Bowties.

The #DrinkVolusia Bus Tour takes place on January 30^th, and is a special event geared toward showcasing the one-of-a-kind breweries Volusia County has to offer. Participants pay ahead of time for their ticket, which includes transportation and one drink at Odd Elixir Meads and each of the six other stops on the tour. For beer connoisseurs who love to try a bit of everything, this is an experience worth considering!

Following the tour, on February 4^th, participants will be able to enjoy dishes from 12 local restaurants paired with 12 rare beers during the Brews & Bowties event in Downtown DeLand. This event is perfect for those who enjoy their meals with a unique beer pairing.

The Craft Beer Festival and other premier events aren’t just fun—they support great causes, too! 100 percent of the proceeds from these events will be used to support Volusia County’s craft beverage community as well as the MainSreet DeLand Association.
